USS Arkansas Set Sail By Helena Woman

On July 14, 1911 Ms Nancy Louise Macon of Helena breaks the good-luck champagne bottle on the bow of the USS Arkansas at the New York Shipbuilding yard in Camden, NJ. The ship saw service in both world wars and now sits at the bottom of
Bikini Atoll, the deliberate victim in 1946 of a nuclear blast.
